Miami, Florida: Pearlson Shiplift Corporation is excited to announce the latest contract signing, valued in excess of $14 million U.S. Dollars, with Heavy Engineering Industries & Shipbuilding Company (HEISCO) and Gulf Dredging Company for the Design, Upgrade and Modernization of the Shiplift and Transfer System at Kuwait Naval Base (KNB), located in Al-Julaia’a, Kuwait.
The shiplift system at KNB was originally commissioned in the late 1970s by Pearlson Engineering Company (PECO), was re-built in the early 1990s, and was upgraded by Pearlson Shiplift Corporation in 2015 / 2016 under a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contract.
Pearlson, HEISCO and Gulf Dredging have mobilized the site at Kuwait Naval Base and work will be carried out over the next two (2) years bringing the Shiplift and Transfer System up to 2023 / 2024 codes and standards.
This latest contract further demonstrates the dominance of #pearlsonshiplift in both the Design & Build of New Shiplift and Transfer Systems, as well as in the After Market Support and Service of existing installations, including more then 280+ facilities in 65+ countries around the World.

Gulf Dredging & General Contracting Company K.S.C. (GD) was formed in 1975 as a Joint Shareholding Company of the Government of Kuwait and Ballast Nedam of Netherlands to cater to the growing requirements of dredging in and around Kuwait.
